PERSONNEL
Diana Rothauser (Leader) - Soprano and Alto Saxophone
Diana started playing saxophone at age 9 and attended Glassboro State College (now Rowan Univerity) and
Montclair State University to
study music and and obtained a degree in Music Therapy. She was a member of the New Jersey Sax Quartet
and has performed with many concert
bands and big bands in New Jersey including performances with Jerry Vale and Christina Fontanelli. In
addition to leading the Manasota Sax Quartet,
Diana currently performs with the Lakewood Ranch Wind Ensemble and the Manatee Community Band. Diana
also has a BS degree in Physical Therapy
from NYU and a retired lymphedema therapist and wound care specialist.
Ron Brunette - Soprano and Alto Saxophone
Ron started playing saxophone at age 7 and has studied saxophone at the Hartt School of Music and
attended the University of Bridgeport as a music
education major. He has played with the Lakewood Ranch Wind Ensemble, Sarasota Jazz Project, North Port
Concert Band, Suncoast Wind Ensemble,
Bare Facts (rock band), and Healer's House Praise and Worship Team.
Alan Klingaman - Tenor Saxophone
Alan is a graduate of The New England Conservatory in Boston. He is an accomplished saxophonist and,
sometimes, keyboard player.
His professional career spanned twenty-five years playing with such artists as John Michael Montgomery,
T. Grahm Brown, and
The Bellamy Brothers. He has performed in all fifty states and many USO tours abroad. While living in
Nashville, he was fortunate
to play at The Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry.
John Wheatley - Baritone Saxophone
John started playing saxophone in a grade school band program and studied saxophone performance for
three months at the
University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. Family circumstances required retirement from
music. He didn't
play for thirty years while establishing a career in finance and raising a family. He gradually began
playing again and upon
retirement chased his passion for playing music with various groups in Alaska, Western Washington, and
Florida including Sarasota
Jazz Project, Jazz Ambassadors, SRQuintet and Swingtide Quintet.
